A Month to Go 'Til it's Dragon Time

With just under a month to go, the Verenti Dragon Ride Wales is gearing up what organisers bill as its best edition yet. The 2010 edition of the South Wales event will boast a 'more bustling event village' and the new ChampionChip timing system, amongst other new features.

A cold, overcast, windy morning greeted the riders for the start of the 34th annual John May memorial road race, presented by Wakefield CC Exponential and sponsored by Bob McDermott. Held over a testing course of 6.6 miles taking in Sharlston village, Normanton bypass and Pineapple Hill, ten circuits gave a race distance of 66 miles.

Report: South West Summer Series Round 2 - Cheddar

Glorious sunshine and a resurfaced and well prepared track greeted almost 300 riders at the second round of the South West Summer Series at Cheddar. That there was a National weekend the following week explained the appearance of a number of out-of-region riders getting some early practice in. Alan Humprhey found the time to race and report... 

SW Region BMX Summer Series Rd 2

The idyllic setting of the Cheddar BMX track at the Broadway House Holiday Park saw a turnout of just shy of 300 riders for the second round of the South West BMX Summer Series. Thirty six of the entrants were from Cornwall BMX Club’s ‘Yellow Army’ resplendent in their newly issued racetops for 2010 kindly funded by local companies.
