South West Region`s New Race Series

SW Youth Series off to Flying Start

The new South West Region Youth Series started with some fantastic racing at Merryfield Airfield, near Ilton, Somerset on Saturday. The good weather brought out nearly sixty youth riders to compete in the Youth series with a strong contingent from South Wales and Southern region ensuring the local riders wouldn’t have it all their own way.

Breckland, at the heart of East Anglia, is a unique rural area of approximately 940 square kilometres (370 square miles) covering much of South Norfolk and North Suffolk. As one of the most sparsely populated parts of the UK, the Brecks' lowland setting, which is dominated by swathes of forest, heathland and agriculture, makes for an extremely appealing place to ride a bike.
