Getting to Skyride Glasgow:

By Bus

Buses run frequently to the cit centre which just a short walk to Glasgow Green.

By Train

Bikes can be taken on all services and this is the preferred travel method to Glasgow Skyride.

Glasgow has two main stations Glasgow Central & Glasgow Queen Street. Glasgow Central services the south & south west of the country, Glasgow Queen Street the north & east.   Information on exact trains is available at www.travelinescotland.com or www.spt.co.uk

Car Parking

There will be no car parking in the Glasgow Green area.  Limited car parking is available at the following locations:

Glasgow City Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes the above-named Order to be observed by vehicles on the following roads:

SCHEDULE 1

PROHIBITION OF DRIVING

05:00hrs to 16:00 hrs Sunday 23 August 2009

  1. Greendyke Street, South side, for its whole length
  2. Saltmarket, Both Sides, between Bridgegate and Clyde St
  3. Clyde Street, Both sides, between Victoria Bridge and Saltmarket
  4. Clyde Street, South side, between Victoria Bridge and Broomielaw
  5. Crown Street, Both sides, for its whole length
  6.  Broomielaw, South side, for its full length
  7. Lancefield Quay, South side, for its full length
  8. Congress Road, South side, for its full length
  9. Pacific Drive, North side, for its full length
  10. Clyde Arc Bridge, West side, for its full length
  11. Victoria Bridge, Both sides, for its full length

Effect

The Order will apply to the specified roads at the times specified above AND SHALL HAVE EFFECT ONLY AT SUCH TIMES as indicated by appropriate traffic signs or under the instruction of a police officer in uniform. The effect will be to impose temporary prohibitions and restrictions on use.

Duration

The Order will come into force at 16:00hrs on the Twenty Second day of August, Two Thousand and Nine and shall have effect for two days only.
