Two of our junior members have recently returned from action in poland.

Leading juniors  Dan Wright & Taylor Walters were selected for team wales, who compete in the nations cup.

The lads didn't get off to the best of starts, but picked up in the second half.

The young welsh squad were just not strong enough to overcome their opponents, eventually finishing in 3rd place after england (2nd) and hosts polski taking the win.

Whilst the boys were in poland, they were entered into the european individual championships.

After a few slips on the loose sandy track in Bargley, Taylor failed to make the cut to the semi finals.

Dan managed a few heat wins and finished as 3rd top scorer and progressed to the semi finals in czestochowa.

Very hot sunshine, very poor track conditions and a very strong field of riders put an end to dans chances of being crowned european champion 2018.

Both lads still qualify for the juniors for another 3 years, and we predict some trophies are coming their way.

Did someone say  ' NEW WORLD RECORD '

On saturday 25th August our riders took to the shale in an attempt to set a new world record.

We are trying to raise funds to replace our track fence, which is over 15 years old.

Our new guinness world record is to cycle around our outdoor track on our bikes which have no brakes, and for 24 hours continuously.

A relay team rode all through the night to complete this challenge, which finished at 10.11 am on sunday 26th August, The stopwatch stopped on 24 hours and 1 minute continuous cycling.

We are very proud of our members doing this for our club, it shows how much it means to them.

We have our fingers crossed now whilst we wait for the record attempt to be verified by guinness, something which can take months.

We wish to again Thank everyone who has supported us throughout this, from donations and sponsors, and everyone who donated through our just giving page, you have all been amazing.
