Majorca 2019

It is time to start thinking about next years trip to Majorca.  I am happy to run it again if there is sufficient interest.

Dates will be 30th March to 6th April 2019  -  a bit earlier than last year to avoid the School holidays and the Majorca Sportive (which made the room availability a bit difficult last year)

I cannot give exact costs as yet but last year it was:

Hotel  + Half Board Sharing a Basic Room

Transfers in Majorca

Total    £414

 Optional Extras

  • Bike on Plane  £84
  • Hold baggage £42
  • Having your own room  £90
  • Bus trip to other end of island  £20
  • Bike Hire  ???

I just need to know if you are seriously interested at the moment and what type of room you would like so I can book the hotel.    Details on the hotel website here

Our very own Emma Johnson, Team MK Welfare Officer this month will be riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats solo, without a support team.  Emma is planning to ride the 950 miles in just under two weeks. She hopes to complete 65 – 85 miles per day, carrying with her all her kit, including a tent.  You can follow Emma on her blog

If you wish to sponsor Emma, she is raising funds for two great causes: Cancer Research & York House Centre, Stony Stratford.

Boxing Day Nippy Dip

Boxing Day saw two of our youth tri members Harry and Amy compete in the Nippy Dip race at Box End Water Park.

Harry came in 1st in the 125m non wetsuit swim and Amy came 5th in the wetsuit 250m! A huge congratuations to both, especially as the water was absolutely freezing!!!

A separate success followed later in the week after both passed their RLSS National Pool Lifeguard qualification following an extremely tough six day course at Wolverton pool.
